The best life is a God First life

Trudge and gain

Sometimes situations in life are tough, but we simply trudge forward with God’s help and our unwavering faith. Eventually, those tough times become part of our wisdom and strength until the good times bless us again.

For if God is with us, who can be against?

God First!

We do what we do when we need to do it. – It’s the way it’s always been!

A few years ago, while my father was still alive, I had the following dream. Dad and I were finishing a project we had been working on together, and we’re about to head our separate ways. In the dream, I asked dad if he could do the next task on his own?

Dad said, “We do what we do, when, we need to do it. I responded, “it’s the way it’s always been!” (I then woke up) Reflecting on the dream, those words have enormous truths.

When tasks were daunting or seemed overwhelming difficult to accomplish single-handedly, both my dad and grandfather were known for rolling up their sleeves and finding ways to accomplish what looked to be insurmountable or downright impossible tasks. Their determination and ability have always been an inspiration to me, and one reason I believed dad when he told me, “You can be anything you want to be if you are willing to work at it.

I am very thankful for the lessons I learned from my father and most thankful that dad had the wherewithal to put God in the forefront of our home and live accordingly. With God, all things are possible!

“We do what we do when we need to do it. – “It’s the way it’s always been!”

••• Viewing the Soul •••

  • If you’re attractive – so what!
  • If you’re ugly – so what!
  • If you’re poor – so what!
  • If you’re rich – so what!
  • I could care less if you’re black, white, yellow, green, purple, or red…
  • So what!

When I wave at you, I wave at a soul when I smile at you, I smile at a soul, but more importantly, when God looks at you, He sees your soul. When God looks at you, He sees your heart and knows your mind.

May we always live to bring honor and glory to God, striving to be someone after God’s own heart, willing to do all God’s Will to the best of our ability. Pleasing to the loving eyes of God.

“And when he had removed him, he raised up David to be their king, of whom he testified and said, ‘I have found in David the son of Jesse a man after my heart, who will do all my will.”

Acts‬ ‭13:22‬

‬God First!

Just say no to Grumpy.

Why not choose to start each day with a houseful of smiles and laughter? It’s far better than a houseful of grumpy!

Why be grumpy? Do you yourself like being around grumpy people? If not, choose to replace grumpy with kindness, warm smiles, and thoughtfulness. Our attitude is a choice from morning light to the dead of night!

Why not strive to start each day with prayer, then bless your family and others with eyes of compassion, words of encouragement, and thoughtfulness the whole day through.

Be cheerful and kind no matter the time; after all, laughter is good for your soul; it’s good for theirs. Instead of grumpy, why not share the best you have to offer and brighten each other’s day with an attitude of joy, love, and gratitude for life, family, and friends.

Attitudes are contagious, is yours worth catching?
